" Let
me began by saying that I have been DeeDee’s neighbor
for over ten years, so I have had the privilege of watching
DeeDee grow from a toddler into the poised and confident
young woman you see standing before you.
Maybe it’s
something they put in the water in Santa Barbara , but DeeDee
represents the best that we as teachers can hope for in a
student.
Teachers describe DeeDee as kind, hard working,
tenacious, and the possessor of a great smile. DeeDee has
earned high honors for the last two years. Her reports card
usually totals out at 4.0. She is a dancer and has studied
tap and ballet for the last ten years.
Marymount’s
drama department received the benefit of all that classical
training when DeeDee appeared as the Cowardly Lion in the
Wizard of Oz, Mrs. Paroo in The Music Man and blew ‘em
away as Ado Annie in Oklahoma .
She had made time for the
National Charity League, serving as the Recording and Corresponding
Secretary. People like DeeDee just don’t grow on trees,
which is why Marymount is grateful that she chose us. Next
year, DeeDee will attend San Marcos High School where she
has already been accepted onto their dance team, the Marquettes.
DeeDee graduates with high honors. "
